    Scylla is hiding under the cliff, just like Homer said in the Odyssey :)

    And the deadly whirlpool is somewhere out there, too!

    The town of Scilla is in fact named after the Greek tale and is found in the Strait of Messina, between Calabria and Sicily.

    By the way, I also read that it's possible the Greek myth could be the origin of the phrase, "Caught between a rock and a hard place."
